The Body Shop mango shower gel

This shower gel smells so delicious I actually licked some. Don't do this! It was not very pleasant. It actually smells like you could eat it though, vair vair nice... sweet.. but natural. Not extremely chemically.

This is the first shower gel I've used in a while that contains the very much talked about 'SLS'... otherwise known as sodium lauryl sulphate or sodium laureth sulphate. This is an ingredient used in most personal care products that produce a lather - and is widely believed to be harmful after long term use. I used to care about this. Now, I don't! So yep, that answers that. My shower gel contains SLS, so does my face wash, my shampoo, and my toothpaste.  This isn't a debate about SLS however, it's a review of this product.

It (as expected) gives a very good lather, and despite the SLS content does not dry out my sensitive skin. It actually feels pretty damn smooth and soft after using this, there's no residue left over, just squeeky clean smooth good-smelling skin. I wouldn't know if the smell lingers on the skin for too long after since I use a body butter straight after - but I imagine that it would since it's quite a strong scent. Not over the top, though.  Overall, I recommend this and I will absolutely be repurchasing after my other shower gels run out. Out of the Body Shop scents, the mango range is definitely in my favourites, along with the cocoa butter & shea. Yum yum.

Holy crap

I haven't posted for about 300 years. Not as if anybody reads this anyway. By 300 years I mean maybe 3 months, or something. BUT - I got loads of stuff from 'The Body Shop' the other day which I am excited as tits to write about because I really love The Body Shop and pretty much almost everything they do. Yeah! I bought....

  • Camomile eye make-up remover
  • Cucumber water (face toner)
  • Moringa shower gel/cream
  • Moringa body scrub
  • Blusher brush
  • Grapeseed hair glossing serum
  • Tea Tree facial wash
  • Cucumber cleansing milk
  • Facial buffer
  • Ultra fine bath lily
So, YEAH! Woooooo. No I am (sadly) not amazingly rich, they had an amazing offer on so I basically got half of that free. I got some stuff from there a few weeks back too, three shower gels; Mango, Satsuma, Coconut cream, and I also got the Brazil Nut body scrub. I've only tried the mango shower gel out of those 3 at the moment, but God it's gorgeous. I can say the same for the Brazil Nut body scrub. The smell (despite lots of people saying it's amazing) is faintly soapy in a not-so-nice way to me - but it does the job. Skin is silky smooth and the smell does not linger on the skin at all. That's all for now, folks... I will return with many reviews on the above products.
