The Body Shop mango shower gel

This shower gel smells so delicious I actually licked some. Don't do this! It was not very pleasant. It actually smells like you could eat it though, vair vair nice... sweet.. but natural. Not extremely chemically.

This is the first shower gel I've used in a while that contains the very much talked about 'SLS'... otherwise known as sodium lauryl sulphate or sodium laureth sulphate. This is an ingredient used in most personal care products that produce a lather - and is widely believed to be harmful after long term use. I used to care about this. Now, I don't! So yep, that answers that. My shower gel contains SLS, so does my face wash, my shampoo, and my toothpaste.  This isn't a debate about SLS however, it's a review of this product.

It (as expected) gives a very good lather, and despite the SLS content does not dry out my sensitive skin. It actually feels pretty damn smooth and soft after using this, there's no residue left over, just squeeky clean smooth good-smelling skin. I wouldn't know if the smell lingers on the skin for too long after since I use a body butter straight after - but I imagine that it would since it's quite a strong scent. Not over the top, though.  Overall, I recommend this and I will absolutely be repurchasing after my other shower gels run out. Out of the Body Shop scents, the mango range is definitely in my favourites, along with the cocoa butter & shea. Yum yum.
